In every instant of our existence, we are bombarded by trillions of stimuli — surging from within and pressing in from without. The canvas becomes the membrane between these two worlds: a threshold, a skin. Each painting is a snapshot of a precise moment of perception, frozen and made visible.
Color operates here on multiple levels — direct or synesthetic — giving shape to the particular slice of the present it embodies. Saturation is mood: the emotional atmosphere that saturates and shifts the meaning of everything we perceive, bending reality according to the inner weather of the moment.
The figure wears the dress of a psychiatric institution. Not by accident. Because that is precisely what this work is about: the impossible choice we are all forced to make. Either you are normal — someone who inherits and perpetuates the quiet madness of a society that grinds, burns, and drives itself toward extinction — or you are the fool, the deviant, the one who refuses, and is cast out for it.
In the end, the question the series poses is simple and ruthless: who is really wearing the straitjacket?
